When the original Hurricane Marie hit California years ago I was on vacation and missed all the action and had super FOMO seeing all the rad images. So when this year’s version of Marie showed up, I didn’t want to miss anything. I also didn’t want to shoot the usual suspect spots and add to the chaos. I wanted unique angles and places I never thought I’d go. I woke up early and simply started fairly far up the coast and made my way down finding some novelties and some old favorites but with some new perspectives.
